The first Keep the Lights On competition launched in 2020.
For the last two years, a small group of teachers launched a fundraising campaign for SNAP’s Emergency Energy Assistance program (Project Share), presented as a spirit competition among teachers. Initially, this was in response to many teachers receiving stimulus money when they needed it less than other people in the community. This year, from February 1-20, we are continuing the tradition, but we want it to include everyone – teachers, staff, students, and alumni.
